His recent recordings as a leader include "Live at the Bistro", and "For Evans' Sake", both released in 2004. He is featured throughout Karl Berger's "StillPoint" with John Lindberg (N.Y. String Trio) which is internationally distributed on Sunny Moon records. His playing and composing can be heard on Ira Sullivan's "Strings Attached", on Pausa Records. He was recently awarded a "Meet The Composer" grant.
He has taught guitar, jazz improvisation, ensembles, and composition at the A.M.I. School in Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia, the National Guitar Workshop [for 15 years], Bard College [for 10 years], and at Barconi Music Studios.
He is licensed in Instrumental Music, K-12 in New York State.
His guitar improvisational instruction books; "Introducing the Dorian Mode"
and "Introducing the Mixolydian Mode", are currently available from Alfred
Publishing.
He also performs on Saz [a Turkish 7 string guitar] with the Met (Metropolitan Opera) in NYC.
Mr. Einhorn is the co-inventor and patent holder of the "Re-Tuning" guitar capo which has been recognized as a step forward in the evolution of the instrument.
He lives with his talented wife Beth [voice, piano, flute, guitar, child
psychiatrist], and children: Sam [age 11, cello], amd Emily [age 9, voice,
violin]. The family bands' name is, of course. Unicorn.
